What provokes working class artists?
Raising Class Consciousness Provocations were given to each artist in the Women Working Class group to respond to:
1. Often to be an Artist you have to raise out of your class
2. The complication dilemma and processing of being an Artist
3. ‘Passing’ Policing Self, Overcompensating, Picking over work, Self as a bargain
4. Earned and Unearned Privilege
5. How to create, when having to pay the rent, raising questions on personal activism
6. How to dismantle the system, how far does your activism go? How much does this become a class struggle. What is your take on it / and your resource?
7. We have more Power than we think – Promoting Accountability – sharing access of pay figures in the arts
8. Mentoring, flagging up that this needs to be worked on, gap for funding, harder for women
